Introduction

​Before you ask about the details of a religion, you must know the foundations first!
Indeed the belief system is what guides our actions, for without the correct creed (‘Aqeedah) and intention, actions would be rendered fruitless.



Islam is a major world religion; its followers are called Muslims.
Today, Islam is more than 1.6 billion strong and counting.



Islam entails submission and obedience to Allah  (The Supreme Creator, The One True God) through Islamic monotheism (Tawheed) whilst disavowing all forms of Shirk (associating others with Allah, polytheism etc.).



The most IMPORTANT FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE IN ISLAM IS...

There is no true god/deity worthy of worship except Allah (alone without partners),​
and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His final messenger.



It’s that simple!!! this is called the Islamic testimony of faith (shahaadah) but we’re still going to break that down for you.
